I’ve been a football fan since the age of four, although I can’t kick a lick to save me life. I cried with the rest of Australia at the end of the Iran game, I was at the stadium when John Aloisi ended our drought, I ran around with a chair over my head in pure jubilation when Timmy Cahill scored his second against Japan, and I’m of the minority who believes (after much deliberation and soul searching) that it WAS a penalty.
