Nice post. I agree with you on almost every point. I too was very dissapointed with Australia's performance against Serbia and Argentina especially. We lacked attacking direction and it seemed as though nobody was willing to chance it alone bar Carney (at times). I felt that we were far too timid in attack. The Serbs are a rather defensive, counter attacking team and i think that we should have attacked from early on. 5 defenders is a bit much. We really needed the extra man going foward to create chances and man on man situations. The Serbs shut us down far too easily. Against Serbia i expected the team to be a little timid, but we still should have pushed harder for an equaliser. Solid performances by many players (as you've mentioned), but i agree that our management needs to be reviewed. Now.
