Is Harry really Kewell?
In the lead up to the World Cup there has been much debate about Australia’s biggest household football name, Harry Kewell.
Primarily, this is focused on his form at Liverpool and whether Australia will see the Kewell of Leeds United out on the pitch in Germany, or the Kewell of six months ago. The lethargic, tired, injured Harry.
While his recent form at Liverpool, has many people convinced that he will be the formiddable attacking force down the wing that we are accustomed to, can Harry be that superstar that everyone wants him to be, and provide that little bit extra to guide us to the next round. There is no doubt in my mind that he has it within him, you only have to look at his goal scored most recently against Everton, and the faith Rafa Benitez has in him by starting him most weeks at Liverpool. However, Germany is another ball game.
While he has shown in recent months that Leeds Harry exists, I am not 100% convinced as to whether he will step up, or whether he will just be there to make up the numbers in June. I guess we have to wait and see.
