Butcher to Sydney FC?

May 7th, 2006 | By: Matt | 2 Comments »

Talks have taken place between current Motherwell coach Terry Butcher about a move to the Sydney club after Littbarski decided to leave. Butcher is considering the offer quite seriously, and from what I have read he is keen on the lifestyle and weather down here as opposed to the rain and cold of Scotland. I have heard Frank Farina also being mentioned about a possible Littbarski replacement but I think the influence and experience of an international manager would be better for the club and league.

Updated: I just found out that Butcher is actually on his way to Sydney to hold talks with the club and they are at a fairly advanced stage. Looks like it will go ahead.

Haha yeah I agree. Im not a big fan of Farina as well. I wonder what he is doing these days. He has been laying low ever since they let him go.
