Juninho signs for Sydney FC

After months of searching, the mighty Sydney FC have finally secured the marquee player that they have craved. Juninho, (not the Lyon man, but the one who actually won the World Cup in 2002) landed in our city today and was unveiled as our marquee player this morning. He’s perfect. The most import thing is that he is a midfielder, who will feed the ball to the strikers. A marquee striker would be useless if there was no quality midfield to feed him. He has brilliant skills, great passing, and can make any dead ball come to life. He’s got that missing ingredient or ’spice’ that the A-League needs to become more ‘Joga Bonito’. I saw him play for Middlesborough and Brazil, and if he is even half the player of five years ago, we could have a quite awesome player on our hands. I can’t believe it (even though he’s 34) that we managed to snare him. This is great for the future of the league. I can’t wait to see him in action!
