Young Socceroos In Tough Group

Mitch-NicholsThe Young Socceroos face a tough challenge after they were drawn against the might of Brazil and 2007 runners-up Czech Republic for the FIFA Under-20 World Cup in Egypt later this year. Costa Rica round out Group E, a group in Brazil and Czech Republic are the clear favourites to advance from.

All matches for the group will be played at Port Said, and the Young Socceroos begin their journey against the Czechs in the opening group match, to be played on 27 September. This tricky first hit out is followed by the clash with the Costa Ricans on 30 September, before the final showdown with Brazil on 3 October.

Group B – Nigeria, Venezuela, Spain, Tahiti
Group C – USE, Germany, Cameroon, Korea Republic
Group D – Ghana, Uzbekistan, England, Uruguay
