World Top 10 Our Goal
June 11th, 2006 | By: Matt | No Comments »
The FFA has come out and said that the goal for football in this country is to be inside the World Top 10 list by 2014. The first hurdle is to become the top side in Asia. Comparisons have been drawn between Australia and the USA, with America occupying a position in the Top 10 although they aren’t considered a ‘football nation’. This appears to be a reaslistic goal having witnessed such a dramatic change within the country’s football heirachy and the national side since Lowy and co. took over. With the World Cup boosting the sports following and image in the country it is a good aim to aspire to and one we are very capable of achieving.
