Vidmar Out of Cup
Tony Vidmar has said he will not participate in the World Cup due to health reasons. Vidmar has been diagnosed as having an irregular heart beat and does not want to jeopardise his health by playing. Vidmar was to be a certain member of the squad due to be announced any day now, and I am sure we will miss his experience in defense. His absence will I’m sure open up a spot for the younger players coming through. My guess is it will either be one of Beauchamp, Milicevic, or Thwaite who will get the spot left by Tony.
As I’m sure everyone does, I wish Tony Vidmar all the best and hope he can get through these medical complications and return to football.
