I can't imagine Hiddink would bench Moore. He'd be more valuable in the Brazil game than the Croatia game, because his replacement Popovic would be more use against Prso than Ronaldo or Adriano.

Mike Carlton, that rugby lover, wrote in today's Sydney Morning Herald that soccer fans "ask - require, demand - that the rest of us worship their deity as the one true game of football". Every four years he comes up with the biggest load of crap. We, football - or soccer - supporters do not give a hoot about the "rest of" you, who do not follow football. All we ask is that you leave us alone and let us enjoy our game. He is so bloody jealous that his silly game of rugby is not, will not, never be, a game as popular as football. I have never read an article where a football journalist denigrates rugby union, or rugby league, or aussie rules. Why do they hate us so much?

But what about the sour grapes from Zico? He should know better than to bitch about refereeing decisions after the fact, especially when his own side benefitted from a dodgy decision in the first place. Smacks of a double standard and he has no leg to stand on.

Hiddink knows what to do. He's had world cups with both the dutch and South Korea where key players have been on yellows and he has still done the job. I don't expect it to be any different with the Socceroos. As for Zico man, the guy needs to learn how to lose. The referee was trying to balance the ledger after his mistake almost cost us the game. Which would have been an absolute tragedy.

trust hiddink to make a good decision on the cards issue. its uncharacteristic of him to think one game ahead. he has taken many risks before and has been in many tricky situations as this one. and he ahs more often than not delivered the goods. i expect him to be secretly harboring a desire to go through based on the next game alone...!! over ambitious. but just like him to think so. i have a gut feeling we are in for a great surprise come the big day..!

Many games have been won in the last 15 minutes at this World Cup.

Brasil's defense can easily be caught off balance with fast counter-attacks.

If the Socceroos play a fast paced game and keep the pressure on Brasil they can win through better physical fitness and stamina.

I expect it to be a fun match.
