The Latest
I’ve been away for the past few days so I have decided to give a wrap up of the most important happenings which have been going on regarding the boys in the green and gold.
- There have been further suggestions by Russian media that Sir Guus will be heading over their way to coach the national side following the World Cup. A deal is reportedly very close.
- Lucas Neill is set to be offered a new and improved contract at Blackburn Rovers. With only 14 months left, Blackburn will be desperate to hang onto him as he has been solid in defence this season.
- Australia’s Mark Shield will be heading over to Germany mid year to ref during the World Cup. This fellow won the A-League referee of the year so he can’t be too shabby.
Finally, following last nights round of English Premier League matches, I must make mention of Craig Moore’s role in Newcastle’s win over Spurs. It’s been his third game for the club recently so it seems he is fully back to fitness and will be a great addition back into the national squad. Will be interesting to see if he gets the captaincy back though, however I don’t think he will.
