The Dooks Saga Continues..
Once again a problematic situation with Mark Viduka and Middlesbrough has hit the papers, with latest reports claiming that he has issued a ‘play me or I will leave’ ultimatum.
It wasn’t that long ago that he was linked with a move to Everton. I think he should be getting starts, especially with his recent form, 4 goals in as many games. Although, with McClaren having Yakubu and Hasselbaink at his disposal I can understand his position to switch among the strikers.
I can see Viduka’s point of view, however. He is in decent form, and especially with the World Cup around the corner he is most likely keen to be playing regularly to cement his starting spot in the Australian side.
With a year left on his contract, it will be interesting to see if there is some substance to this (maybe Moyes will buy him after all), or if it is just the English media with little else to write about.
(Off topic, but I have to mention Arsenal’s fine victory over those boring Italians that call themselves Juventus. Go the Gunners!)

Does Viduka even need to worry about his starting spot on the Socceroos? Isn’t he a shoe-in?
I’m sure he wants to be playing regular football to keep his touch, but is he more worried about his tranfer fee than a place in the line-up in Germany?
