Soceroos a goal down at half time…

June 12th, 2006 | By: Vlado | 14 Comments »

Soceroos a goal down at half time… thanks to a dodgy refereeing decision which allowed a goal which was a result of a CLEAR foul on Schwarzer.

Other than the anger over that injustice, things are positive for the Green-and-Gold and we’re all hopeful that redemption will come in the second half.

Go Aussies!!!

hahah, holy crap. now i have a headache, but i suppose it’s better than the heart attack i thought i was going to suffer.

australia’s running changed completely after the equaliser. i thought they had looked really flat for most of the match, like they were really struggling for fitness (could be the case for a few of them, such as kewell). amazing what a spot of adrenaline will do. here’s hoping we don’t need a poke in the eye in every game to get the motors running.

forget Cahill for PM, can’t we deify him like they did in ancient Rome? I’d happily worship him :-)

How is Australia supposed to hop off to bed and sleep after such excitement.

Stuff history, this is the Socceroo’s time!

Vlado, If i had a vote in australia i would cast it in favor of Cahill… well done Australia, that game exemplifies our fighting spirit…. 84, 89 and 91…!!! who would have ever done things like that than a never - say - die tenacious Socceroo…!! go on… don’t think of a draw or a loss against brazil. we are winning. mark my words…!! WE WILL WIN BRAZIL. and this comes from an Indian who has rooted for brazil in the past 5 world cups…!!!

the game was one of the most amazing games lever saw. the playes should work on passing the ball with more speed, they are to slow and due to this missed out on a number of goals. when we go to the next work cup we would have more experience and not make silly mistakes

The ref got it wrong and admitted his mistake but Schwarzer was as much responsible for the goal… he misjudged the ball badly. He was lucky on another couple of occasions; I thought he had only an average game. Kalac may yet get a guernsey. I still would pick Schwarzer ahead of Kalac due to his performances against the Dutch and Uruguay.
