Last night I took some photos of the training session at ANZ Stadium. I have uploaded them to my website: http://brendenwood.com.au/index.php/2009/03/unauthorized-world-cup-soccer-photos/

Stadium Australia is state of the art, so it's not like they'll be playing in scuba gear. But that being said, the rain will affect us more than the Uzbeks, as we're expected to keep the ball on the deck a bit more, which is harder to do when it's wet. The rain will definitely slow things down a bit more, but I don't think there'll be a massive change in game plan though. Earlyy on, there might be a few long range efforts to test the Uzbek keeper's handling in the wet, but that'll be about all that Pim will shake up. The boys will just keep it simple, keep possession as much as they can, hopefully grab the lead, and then sit back and counter punch.

So how is this constant downpour over the past few days going to change the gameplans Pat, especially if this rain continues into tonight? Is it going to play into our hands, or the Uzbeks?

i would love to see the little and large combo of jesus and maca 4 once. but as your last few lines stated why change a winning plan. sad news about Beauchamp would have been nice to see how he would have done.
