Socceroos Drop To 32
Poor performances in the past several Asian Cup Qualifiers has taken its toll on our FIFA ranking, with the latest release saying that we’ve dropped five places to be in 32.
The Green and Gold’s recent matches have been forgettable, firstly drawing to Indonesia and then of course losing to Kuwait last week. Luckily, these two humiliating performances sandwiched a battling effort in Japan when we earned that vital point.
Our Asian neighbours faired no better, with Japan, Iran and South Korea sitting in 35th, 42nd, and 44th place respectively.
The top teams haven’t changed, Spain is still sitting on top, followed by Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Brazil and Argentina.
