June 18th, 2006 | By: Matt | 29 Comments »

Its that time again where I want you to give me your predicted score for tonight’s game v Brazil.
Unfortunately I think Brazil will beat us 2-0.

What do you think the score will be?

In the Brazil blog, there’s no new posts about the Aussie vs Brazil game. This could turn into a Ghana vs Czech game!

I think the Brazillians are under-estimating the Aussie Team.

With that said, I’ll change it to 2-1 (Brazil Win)

Australia went to Argentina in a world cup qualifier with Maradona playing against us and they could only score 1 goal.

Compare the teams now to then and it just doesn’t, they were rough nuts then with most plying their trade in the aussie (joke) domestic league.

This Aussie team will do us proud.

Maybe they won’t win but a draw is easily possible.

It would end in a penalty shoot-out with Australia winning by 1 point much in the same way as the Aussie-Uruguay qualifier.

oh yeah.. brazil 7. with rotundo playing…!! maybe in his dreams. i was a brazil fan till the day i heard they were in the socceroos group. now who cares for the brazilians or the argentines. talent is not all. skill is a fat lot of s..t if you don’t have the will to apply it.. Hiddink said WE ARE THE UNDERDOGS IN CAPITAL LETTERS. we might be. strange that in this one sport we are underdogs, the one sport we would like to take a stranglehold of…!! but this win over brazil will change all that… yes, my fellow socceroos fans, WE WILL WIN 2 – NIL. mark my words. GOOOOOOOOOOOO australia. let’s take them by the scruff of their collars…!!!

it doesnt matter if the socceroos win lose or draw, its the performance that counts. this world cup is all about respect on the world stage. as long as the roos show heart i’ll be happy. soccer is one of those frustrating games where a team can dominate for 89 1/2 minutes and not score and for one ref decision or a flucky shot can win it for the other side. so a scoreline cant be read into except for the result. good form doesnt win the game as often as it should.

As much as I’d like the Aussies to win, I doubt it will happen. Realistic score: 1 – 1

I have a feeling Australia will get a red card in this match.

2-0 or 3-0 maybe even 4-0.

Football gives to the one that gives it 100%. Expect anything, but realistically, Brazil will win or draw. 3-2

Here’s a prediction for you. Next week France without Z since he yellow carded out today and when he left the field of international play for the last time, the French national hero – nobody even cared. Just another substitution. Interesting fan reaction. Anyway.
Togo 1 France 1.
