Milcevic Makes His Case at Thun
Good article about defender Ljubo Milicevic who has had a bit of a resurrection at Thun in Switzerland. Milicevic has been named captain of the team and had been able to re-focus on playing soccer. Will his performance catch the eye of Guus Hiddink?
“Guus Hiddink has not seen the best of me,” Milicevic said. “I have not been at my peak since he’s come in. I wasn’t as fit as I can be or should be and wasn’t doing justice to myself.
“I guess if he has watched any of my games this year he would see a different side to me. It has been great being in the same sort of form I was in when I was at Perth Glory but doing it here in Europe and playing against top sides like Hamburg in the UEFA Cup.
“I have so much opportunity ahead of me but I can’t wait for something to happen. I have to go out and grab it by the balls.”
