Kewell out of Anfield?
Yesterday the English Premier League season came to a close, like many other European football leagues. As we all know, players are released, some retire, and some are pushed out *cough* Van Nistelrooy *cough*. Along with this comes what is known as the silly season, as the newspapers and every football fan speculate about potential club signings and transfers.
It hasn’t even been 24 hours since the season finished, and I have already read that Liverpool are supposedly inviting offers for Harry Kewell. Claims are that Benitez’s asking price is around 4m (I can’t find the pound symbol on the keyboard).
Obviously if there is any truth we will hear about it more, but to be honest unless they bring in serious competition for his spot I think Harry will stay. I think we are in for a lonnnnggg transfer window.

It’s all Fleet Street silliness, but if they can get Mark Gonzales a work permit then that’s where the question marks would arise. Still, I know we’re all biased and all that, but 4 million pounds seems pretty cheap…
