Game Day Has Arrived

Today is game day. There isn’t a great deal of news about and we pretty much know who is going to take the field against Greece. Sadly for Tony Vidmar, he will be sitting in the stands tonight instead of defending on the pitch. He broke down at a news conference yesterday and I really do feel sorry for the bloke. Hopefully he can provide some inspiration not only for tonight but in Germany at the Cup. There is an article in The Age about tonight being the start of the Socceroos journey and the significance of a football game being played at the MCG with a round not oval ball. Also, this is the supposed lineups for tonight with a nice little picture.

I’m off to the game nice and early to have a few frothys. Funnily enough, dinner for tonight will be a souvlaki.
GO THE GREEN AND GOLD!

Update: I’ve just heard that Kalac is very likely to be in goal tonight

Just found this site which has which channels the game will be shown on. Don’t know if this helps or not. Try and find one of these channels online perhaps.

Ivan, Should be a cracker. I am hoping (and think) that the game will be closer than what a lot of people think.
