Australia’s World Cup Final - Monday Night
When Australia take on Japan on Monday night our time, it isn’t just a group game. It is far more important than that. Having been in exile for the past 32 years, our whole World Cup campaign hinges on the fact that we get a result against Japan, particularly a win. As we all know, a win on Monday would mean that we realistically only need a draw against Brazil or Croatia to get through the group. With this in mind, the Japan game is this country’s own World Cup Final.

100% with you Matt. Australia has to go into the match against Japan with all guns blazing, with a do-or-die mindset. A loss is goodbye Germany. A win is an almost guarantee to the next round. A draw means we all have to pray for other games to favour us - big ask. All of Australia is behind our lads - go, go, go, Aussies, to the second round, then we will pray , pray, pray, and when you win the first knockout, we will pray, pray, pray, then when you get into the quarter-finals, we will cheer, cheer, cheer, and then pray, pray, pray. In the final it will be all up to you.
