Aloisi: Shoot From Distance
John Aloisi believes Australia need to take more scoring chances from outside the box to further our chances of goals and victory against Japan on Monday. With the World Cup ball being more scorer friendly rather than goalkeeper friendly, he believes we need to take advantage of this and fire in some shots, especially after the number of goals which have been scored with the Teamgeist ball.
He said:
“I think we have to shoot from a distance because the ball might help,”
“It looked like you have to try to shoot early because the goalkeeper might not be so used to the flight of the ball, and we can score a couple of goals like Germany did (against Costa Rica).”
“They were hitting them from everywhere.”
Hopefully players like Kewell and Bresciano can spring a few suprises from long distance and get us the win.
